Much of the visioning work of our association is done through councils that develop policy recommendations for the board in their assigned areas and appoint committees to carry out designated activities and functions. Councils are led by a chairperson who also serves on the APC Board of Directors and is elected by the membership. Council members are appointed by the president in consultation with the council chairperson and the Nominating Committee. Our current councils include:
